EAST GREENWICH — Phoenix-based ON Semiconductor, which acquired the former Cherry Semiconductor plant here last March, plans to layoff 350 employees worldwide, including 33 in East Greenwich. According to reports, the local plant will retain 300 employees, and no further layoffs are planned.
