WORCESTER — Pan American Airways announced that it will begin non-stop service between Worcester and Orlando, Florida, in early February. Pan Am plans to use reconfigured Boeing 727–200s seating 149, rather than the standard 173. Connecting service with other New England cities is planned later in the year, a Pan Am executive said. An affiliate, Boston & Maine Airways. a charter service, is awaiting FAA authorization to operate a fleet of Jetstream turboprop aircraft on regularly scheduled service. Pan Am is based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
