Parametric patch needed to correct flaw

Parametric Technology Corp., whose
software is used by engineers at companies including Boeing Co.
and Toyota Motor Corp., is distributing a patch to correct a flaw
that may cause its programs to fail next month.

Installation and communications functions in the company’s
Pro/Engineer and Windchill programs will cease to operate at 8:37
a.m. New York time on Jan. 10 unless the patch is installed,
Needham, Massachusetts-based Parametric said on its Web site.
