Peter Flanagan has been named chief risk officer at Bank Rhode Island. In this newly created position, Flanagan will oversee and coordinate overall risk identification, management and mitigation activities of the bank’s various units, senior management, board of directors and external parties. He most recently served as BankRI’s senior vice president and chief auditor. He has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.
