Peter J. Barrett has been appointed partner in Edwards & Angell LLP’s Providence office. He concentrates his practice in the communications industry, representing companies and funding sources in the radio, broadcast and television, publishing and wire-line and wireless telephone fields. Barrett is experienced in a variety of national and international transactions including leveraged buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and subordinated debt financings. He is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and the District of Columbia. Barrett earned a bachelor’s degree from Roanoke College in Virginia and his juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center.
