There will be approximately 180 positions created in Rhode Island as a result of the deal, Mike McCarthy, senior vice president and general manager of PFPC, told PBN.com. The company will open offices in the general Providence area, and is finalizing a location for its offices this week, McCarthy said.
Training for new workers here will begin the second week of March, with offices opening in July, McCarthy said.
Primerica Financial Services, a financial services marketing organization, has signed a five-year contract with PFPC. PFPC said it expects to service some $22.7 billion in assets through the contract, representing almost three million shareholder accounts.
