
Steven Pitassi, senior vice president/branch manager for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC’s Providence office, has been named to website On Wall Street’s list of Top 10 Branch Managers.
“Despite the challenging market environment in which we’ve worked over the past few years, Steven has led his team by example,” said Jerry Lombard, president of the Janney Montgomery Scott LLC’s Private Client Group. “He has remained focused on the strength and growth of the Providence branch by striving to deliver the highest level of service and advice to Janney’s clients.”
Pitassi has been with the firm since 1981 and he has more than 33 years of experience in the industry. He previously worked for the city of Providence as an accountant, a city controller and an acting finance director.
Pitassi manages 13 advisers at Janney’s Providence branch, which has $1.36 billion assets under management. In the article, he said that his primary focus when finding new advisors is finding someone who values their family and is involved in their community.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Roger Williams University and a master’s degree in teaching business education from Johnson and Wales University.
