PROVIDENCE — Citizens for Rhode Island’s Future, a non-profit independent organization formed in February, today is sponsoring the release of a statewide poll and a panel discussion to address statewide economic concerns and the feasibility of developing a container port at Quonset Point/Davisville.
The event is open to the public and will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Providence Biltmore, 17th floor. Present at the discussion will be M. John Vickerman, principal, TranSystems Corporation, and international port engineer and development planner; John Della Volpe, president of SWR Della Volpe; Paul White, of Wellington White, a management and engineering consultant in the marine technology industries; Bruce Ferguson, president of Ferguson Perforating & Wiring Company; and Thomas M. Lloyd, president of TransOption of RI, LLC Transportation and Logistics Consulting and 22-year veteran of the global ocean container industry.
