“These are the only awards that bestow national recognition to the museums and libraries that have uplifted individuals’ lives, improved their communities, and made our nation better for it,” said Robert Martin, director of the IMLS.
Those who have discovered the resources and programs made available at any of the Providence Public Library’s ten branches will not be surprised to hear of the honor. The Providence Public Library is the state-designated reference center and repository for patents and federal documents. We, in fact, utilize the services and information available at the library on a weekly basis, as do many businesses in the area.
