Middletown-based Cytation.com Incorporated has received a $3 million equity investment from Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Provident Companies, Inc.
Provident Companies, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides income protection products and services for individual and corporate cusxtomers. Provident has annual revenues in excess of $4 billion and assets of $23 billion. The common stock of Provident Companies, Inc. is included in Standard & Poor’s 500 Stock Market Index.

Cytation.com is a publicly traded company that provides training systems completely online through its patented Roll Call, which is a service, not a software application. Because its training programs are done online, Cytation.com’s clients hardware and software investments are eliminated.
It appears that Roll Call could be poised for substantial growth as a result of the equity investment.
In addition to taking an important position in Cytation.com as an equity partner, Provident is evaluating Roll Call for a number of potential enterprise-wide application,” said Michael Hren, vice president of business development at Cytation.com.
Among the businesses and organizations that currently contract with Cytation.com, Inc. are: CVS; American Power Conversion; Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation; and Vice President Al Gore’s Partnership to Reinvent Government.
