Reebok signs shoe contract with MLB

Canton, Mass.-based Reebok International Ltd., the second-
largest U.S. maker of athletic shoes, signed a multiyear
agreement to provide Major League Baseball with footwear for
players and on-field personnel with its 30 teams beginning in
2005.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed by Major League
Baseball in a news release.

Players and other personnel who have shoe contracts with
other companies will be allowed to wear those brands, but all
others will wear Reebok.

The contract is the first with baseball for Reebok, which provides uniforms and warm-up
clothes for the National Basketball Association and National
Football League.
