PROVIDENCE — Another $200,000 has been set aside to help local truck drivers
pay for diesel fuel this winter. The initiative was established in February 2000
and is administered by the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. To date,
$195,000 has been allocated and an estimated 39 drivers have received money.
Truck drivers who wish to apply to the Rhode Island Commercial Truckers Diesel Fuel Fund may contact the RIEDC Financial Services Department at 222-2601.
