Robert Vitale has been promoted to deputy warden at maximum security for the R.I. Department of Corrections.
He will oversee the staff and inmate population. He joined the RIDOC as a correctional officer in 1982, and has held the positions of correctional officer lieutenant at the Intake Service Center and the South building.
Vitale has a B.S. from Bryant University and two associate’s degrees from the Community College of Rhode Island.
