Sean A. Polay has been named director of online operations at The Providence Journal in Providence. He joined the company in 1999 and has worked as projo.com’s news and operations manager, production manager and coordinator. In his new role, Polay oversees the design and programming of the Journal’s Web site. He also directs product development and achievement of the paper’s online news and sales goals.
