South County Hospital names new medical chief

WAKEFIELD, R.I. — Dr. Joseph J. O’Neill of Narragansett, a gynecologist and long-time member of the South County Hospital staff, has been named the hospital’s vice president of medical affairs. Dr. O’Neill has been a member of the hospital staff since 1965 and has served as chief of obstetrics and gynecology and twice as president of the medical staff. He has his bachelor’s degree from St. Peter’s College in New Jersey and medical degree from Creighton University in Nebraska.
