The Department of Energy will allocate $180,000 to Rhode Island to update and implement building energy codes. The funding is part of Fiscal Year 2002 interior appropriations.
The Rhode Island State Energy Office will partner with Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, Inc. and New Buildings Institute to coordinate building energy codes and standards throughout the Northeast.
