QUINCY, Mass., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ — Joining together to support the nation in a time of need, The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company along with all of the operating companies of its parent, Ahold USA, announces the American Heroes Fund, a program to raise funds for the victims of the September 11th tragedies.
All of the dollars raised through the American Heroes Fund will be given to victims and families affected by this national tragedy.

This program, designed to allow customers and associates to make contributions at their local Stop & Shop, will begin on Friday September 14. Additional donation information will be provided in each store.
Ahold USA operating companies will support the program by matching funds collectively raised (dollar for dollar) up to $1 Million.
Contributions can be made in all 318 Stop & Shop stores throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey as well as at the following Ahold USA operating companies:
