In recent years Suiza has acquired such New England companies as Nature’s Best in Cranston, Garelik Farms in Franklin, Mass., and Cumberland Farms’ milk producing facilities in Massachusetts and New York.
Dean Foods, founded in 1925, processes and distributes milk, ice cream and other products.
According to a company spokesman, the sale and relocation will mean the loss of 135 jobs in its Roseville and Franklin Park offices. The sale is subject to federal oversight boards’ approval.
