Charles Summers Jr. has been named regional administrator of region I of the U.S. Small Business Administration to oversee programs and services in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Main, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Summers is a former Main senator and currently also serves as a public affairs officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
