John Granatino has been promoted to vice president /news and operations for Belo Interactive, Inc., the Internet subsidiary of Belo Corporation, parent company of The Providence Journal. He joins Belo Interactive’s management team and will be responsible for content development and editorial management of the company’s 26 Web sites. He previously served as regional director of Belo Interactive’s eastern and Texas Web site clusters. He was formerly employed at The Providence Journal as director of electronic publishing. Granatino graduated from Tufts University and attended the master’s program in business at the University of Rhode Island. He serves on the board of the Newspaper Association of America’s New Media Federation and on the visiting committee at the University of Rhode Island’s department of marketing at the College of Business Administration. He is a resident of Coventry.
