Alan Gardiner has been promoted to director of network services at Cox Communications.
He will be responsible for the operation, engineering, design and construction
of the company’s broadband full service network, which serves more than 430,000
residential customers in New England. Gardiner previously served as Cox Communications’
director of construction, and was responsible for the upgrading of the New England
plant to a full service network, enabling the provision of digital telephone and
cable as well as high-speed Internet service. He joined Cox Communications in
1989 after serving in several technical and operational roles in his family’s
cable business in Ireland. He is a resident of North Providence.
