Thomas A. Boyd has been named executive vice president at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island in Providence. He most recently was vice president of statistical, actuarial and underwriting services. Boyd was also named to the executive management team, where he’s responsible for oversight of several services. He joined the company in 1988 and has more than 25 years’ experience in health insurance. Boyd serves on the board of directors of FRIENDS WAY. He received a bachelor’s degree from Husson College in Bangor, Maine. He lives in Exeter.
