Thomas Riel has been named sales and marketing director of Renaissance Providence Hotel, slated to open early 2007. He was most recently director of national accounts for the Providence Warwick Visitors and Convention Bureau. In his new role, Riel will develop and implement sales and marketing for the hotel. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Quinsigamond College in Worcester, Mass.
