Thomas Ryan, president, chairman and CEO of the CVS Corp., has been chosen to receive a University of Rhode Island Distinguished Achievement Award. A longtime supporter of the College of Pharmacy, he has volunteered to chair a new $100 million URI capital campaign to bolster the university’s endowment. A 1975 graduate of the URI College of Pharmacy, Ryan also holds an honorary doctorate from the university.
