Trinity getting $1.14 million in federal funds

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Trinity Repertory Company is getting $1,147,470 in federal
assistance to help convert the former Citizens Bank building on Empire Street
to a new 500 seat theater. The money is coming from the Economic Development Initiative
Special Project Grants of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The
theater will be named in honor of former Sen. Claiborne Pell and the late Sen.
John H. Chafee.
