PROVIDENCE — The Trinity Repertory Company has established a new endowment fund
and placed it under the management of the Rhode Island Foundation. The fund is
called the Foundation for Trinity Repertory Company. With the elimination of its
standing debt thanks to a four-year fund-raising campaign, and a challenge grant
from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, Trinity Rep has been able to raise
and invest more than $600,000 in the new endowment, Arnold B. Chace, chairman
of Trinity’s board of trustees, announced. He added that existing pledges will
raise the new fund to about $1 million.
