BOSTON — Amtrak announced that it will introduce two more high-speed Acela trains
to the Northeast corridor starting today (March 5). One train will provide express
service between New York City and Washington, D.C. The second train will make
daily trips between Boston and New York, with stops between, including Providence.
Ultimately, Amtrak plans to have 20 sets of high-speed trains operating within
the Boston Washington corridor.
