Veera Sarawgi has been named vice president of Johnson & Wales University’s Providence campus. She is responsible for campus operations, retention and university-wide academic programming. Sarawgi most recently held the position of assistant provost, which she will maintain. She is a board member and advisory council member of Dorcas Place in Providence. Sarawgi earned a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, her master’s degree from Johnson & Wales University and a certificate of advanced graduate study from Salve Regina University.
