Victor V. Calabretta , executive vice president of operations at the Maguire Group, has been named 2003 Engineer of the Year but the Rhode Island Society of Professional Engineers. He has been recognized for his substantial contributions to the engineering profession and his community. Calabretta serves on the board of Rhode Island Consulting Engineers board of directors, URI’s civil and environmental curriculum committee and the American Consulting Engineer Council’s inter-professional committee. He earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Calabretta and his wife live in Jamestown.
