Women’s caucus elects leaders

PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island Women’s Caucus, consisting of the 34 female legislators,
has elected state Sen. Hanna M. Gallo, D-Dist. 12 of Cranston as its chairwoman.
Rep. Denise C. Aiken, D-Dist. 35 of Warwick is first vice chair; Sen. Donna M.
Walsh, D-Dist. 25 of Charlestown, Westerly, Richmond and Hopkinton is second vice
chair; Rep. Christine H. Callahan, R-Dist. 99 of Middletown, Newport is treasurer;
and Rep. Joanne M. Giannini, D-Dist. 7 of Providence is secretary. The caucus
