PROVIDENCE — Governor Lincoln Almond has nominated attorney Daniel A. Procaccini for a judgeship on the Superior Court, where a vacancy was created when Judge Frank J. Williams was appointed Chief Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.
Procaccini is a partner with the Providence law firm of Daniel A. Procaccini & Associates. He also is a solicitor for the Town of Johnston. He previously was a partner and co-chair of the Litigation Department of the Providence firm of McGovern Noel & Benik, and served as special counsel to the town of Warren, Town Solicitor in East Greenwich and Assistant Solicitor in North Kingstown. Procaccini also served as legal counsel to the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Select Commission on Quasi-Public Corporations.

A certified trial lawyer with the National Board of Trial Advocacy, Procaccini also taught at Johnson and Wales University as an adjunct professor of law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1974, and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1977.
Procaccini’s nomination is subject to the advice and consent of the Rhode Island Senate.
