PROVIDENCE – Boston Financial Data Services, a leader in the mutual and cash management industry, last week officially opened a Providence office that initially will employ about 500 people, with expectations the workforce could grow as high as 900, a company spokesperson said. State Street Corporation is the largest custodial bank in the United States, acting as custodian for hundreds of mutual funds. DST Systems is a leader in the design, development and operation of proprietary software systems that provides shareholder accounting and record keeping services.
