Brian Jackvony of the Valley Falls Fire Department has been named to the board of directors for the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs. Jackvony has more than 30 years experience in fire service. He was appointed chief of the Valley Falls Fire District in June 2007. Prior to the appointment, Jackvony served as acting battalion chief, captain, lieutenant and firefighter for the Providence Fire Department. •
