Charles C.J. Carpenter

Charles C.J. Carpenter, director of the Center for AIDS research a The Miriam Hospital and professor of medicine at Brown University, has been awarded The John H. Chafee Award for Leadership in health care for 2004. He has been on the medical staff of the hospital since 1986. Carpenter earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in New Jersey and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. He lives in Barrington.
