Dr. A. Gerson Greenburg has been awarded a Physician of the Year Award at Miriam Hospital in Providence. The award recognizes noted contributions to medicine, leadership and patient-care qualities. Greenburg is chief of clinical quality management at Miriam and was previously surgeon-in-chief. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago and a doctorate in industrial engineering/management sciences from Northwestern University. Greenburg lives in Barrington.
