Eugene W. McDermott has been named partner for Edwards & Angell’s Providence office. He concentrates his practice on capital markets transactions, the Sarbanes-Oxley of 2002 and other corporate governance issues, and issuer reporting requirements. McDermott is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island, New York and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and District of Columbia Bar Association. McDermott received a bachelor’s degree from the Stanford University and his juris doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center. He lives in Newport.
