Fleetboston Financial announced today that all of its subsidiary banks will lower their prime lending rate from 6.50% to 6.00%. Citizens Financial Group, Inc. also announced that it is decreasing its prime lending rate at its banks in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island from 6.50% to 6.00%. The changes are effective today.
