Hasbro posts second quarter loss

PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Toy maker Hasbro Inc. said today it lost $18.3 million, or 11 cents per share, during the second quarter.

During the year-ago period, the company earned $6.5 million, or 4 cents per share.

The company’s revenues fell to $511 million, compared to $778.4 million during the same period last year. Hasbro sold its Interactive division since that time, and has seen sales of its Pokemon products drop.
