MIDDLEBORO, MASS. — Mayflower Cooperative Bank, which operates five full service offices in southeastern Massachusetts, reported a 6 percent increase in net income for the third quarter ended January 31, and its board of directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of 15 cents per share payable on March 16 to stockholders of record as of March 9.
The bank’s net income for the quarter was $429,000 — or 31 cents per diluted share — compared to $404,000 — or 29 cents per diluted share — during the same period a year ago. For the nine months ended January 31, the bank reported earnings of $1.01 million — or 73 cents per diluted share — compared to $1.12 million — or 81 cents per diluted share — during the same period a year ago. As of January 31, Mayflower reported $157.6 million in assets.
