PROVIDENCE – The PACE Organization of Rhode Island (the local Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), which this month celebrates its first anniversary, has set its annual meeting for Thursday, Dec. 14.
Topics will include the nonprofit’s performance during its first year of operation and its goals for the year ahead.

The meeting also will feature the presentation of the Marilyn and James Winoker Commitment to Excellence Award – honoring an employee who goes above and beyond on behalf of the program, its clients and its staff – to board chair J. Christian Wolfe.
PACE coordinates preventive, primary, acute and long-term care services to help older individuals to continue to live in the community. It is open to qualified residents 55 and older who live anywhere in the state but Block Island and Prudence Island.
The program is supported by the R.I. Department of Elderly Affairs, through a cooperative agreement with the R.I. Department of Human Services and the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
