A CEO or President will manage each market along with a market leadership
team. These individuals will be responsible for all business growth in their

“Among them, these four individuals have nearly 90 years combined of
experience working in the banking industry,” stated Issa.

Azar joined Sovereign Bank in September
2004 as senior vice president and regional executive for Community
Banking. He will oversee Sovereign’s 30 community
banking offices in Rhode Island, as well as business development
activities for the branches.

responsible for the bank’s middle market and asset based lending
activities in Rhode Island. In addition, he will continue to oversee
the Precious Metals group, a specialty lending division serving
customers throughout Sovereign’s footprint.

spent his entire career in Rhode Island. In his new role at Sovereign
as senior vice president and market leader, Casale is responsible for
overseeing the bank’s Business Banking Group serving the Rhode Island
market.
