In total, 258,307 passengers boarded flights at T.F. Green last month, compared to 242,573 passengers in October 1999, a change of 6.49 percent. Total passengers served by the airport last month also rose just over 6 percent from a year ago, from 478,741 passengers in October 1999 to 507,518 last month.

Southwest is followed by U.S. Airways with 134,963 passengers (29.5 percent), Delta Airlines, with 54,726 passengers (11.9 percent), United Airlines, 32,695 passengers (7.1 percent), Continental Airlines, 27,911 passengers (6.1 percent), and American and Northwest airlines, each with 5.8 percent, or 26, 753 and 26,445 total passengers respectively.
American Eagle led last month in commuter flights, with 10,077 passengers or a 20.4 percent market share. Atlantic Coast was right behind with 9,435 passengers and 19.1 percent. Allegheny had 17.6 percent of the commuter market last month and Continental Express captured 10.6 percent.
Overall, Southwest Airlines has served the highest number of passengers year to date at Green, with 1.37 million through October 2000.
U.S. Airways is second, serving 1.19 million passengers and Delta Airlines comes in third with 536,021 passengers.
Total passenger traffic is also up at Green from a year ago by 242,810 passengers, or a difference of 5.61 percent.
