David V. Devault has been promoted to senior executive vice president, secretary and chief financial officer for Washington Trust Bancorp Inc. and subsidiary Washington Trust Co. Devault had joined Washington Trust as a controller in 1986 after serving 10 years with KPMG in Providence. He most recently held the position of secretary for Washington Trust Bancorp. •
