Maura Brodeur of Warwick has been promoted to director of advertising at The
Providence Journal Company. She is responsible for the daily operation of
the advertising department and the newspaper’s advertising policy and classified
technology. She also works with supporting departments within the newspaper.
She joined the Providence Journal in 1963 as an inside telephone sales
representative and was most recently senior sales director. She is president
of the Classified Federation of the Newspaper Association of America and serves
on the NAA’s board of directors. She is a member of the board of directors for
the New England Newspaper Association, where she is also first vice president.
