Darlena Goodwin has been named chief philanthropy officer at Rhode Island Hospital. She will be responsible for seeking out and stewarding major charitable contributions to the hospital. Previously, she was executive vice president for major gifts and planned giving and executive vice president for donor services at United Way of Southern New England. Goodwin is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association for Fundraising Professionals. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina. She resides in Warwick with her husband Alan.
