Stephen A. Cardi has been elected chairman of the board of directors of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. An attorney who was first elected to the Blue Cross board in 1990, he is the treasurer of the Cardi Corporation. He previously practiced law with the firm of Adler, Pollock & Sheehan and served on the ethics committee of the Rhode Island Bar Association. He also served as president of the Rhode Island chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. Cardi is a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Fordham University and the University of Virginia Law School.
