Uno restaurants going private

WEST ROXBURY — Uno Restaurant Corp. has reached agreement with a newly formed corporation organized by its chairman and majority stockholder, Aaron Spencer and four company officers. The agreement calls for a merger between the Uno Corporation and the new Spencer-led corporation. Uno shareholders, whose approval is required for the merger to take effect, will receive a cash settlement as part of the agreement. Uno has 180 restaurants and a separate consumer foods business that serves airlines, movie theaters, hotel restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets.
