Edward A. Hjerpe, III

Edward A. Hjerpe, III, executive vice president of First Federal Savings Bank
of America (FIRSTFED), has been named to the board of trustees at Roger Williams
Medical Center in Providence. Hjerpe also serves as chief operating officer and
chief financial officer at First Federal Savings Bank of America and FIRSTFED
American Bancorp, Inc. He previously served as executive vice president and chief
financial officer, acting managing director, and senior vice president at Federal
Home Loan Bank of Boston and financial economist in the office of Policy and Economic
Research for the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington, D.C. Hjerpe earned
his Ph.D. and master of arts in economics from the University of Notre Dame, and
his bachelor of arts in business and economics from St. Anselm College.
