MBM Investment Group Corporation was interviewed by WPRI news organization regarding their online personal bartering site www.barterthing.com. The video and story were posted on the WPRI news site the week of July 5th. WPRI is an affiliate of CNN for regional news stories. On July 7th, CNN dropped
the regional new story on their US home page as one of the top links for Northeast news. Barterthing.com immediately saw a 3000% increase in traffic, along with a 20% membership bump. All in under 24 hours.
Bob Johnson, President of M BM,was quite pleased with the results.“WPRI told us they would do their best to get us onto the national scene, and they came through with flying colors.” Mike Howson,,Secretary and Treasurer, was concerned that the timing of the exposure did not coincide with the elimination of transaction fees.“Our next release of the software was, unfortunately, not ready for the interview and press. But I ’m still happy with the results.”The site enhancement of No Connection Fees was started as a temporary Economic Stimulus package. But MBM has decided to extend it indefinitely.“We removed all of the processing completely,” commented Mike..“No more refunds, because the fees have been eliminated.”The change is part of several site enhancements, including a new Press page. You can see the WPRI link by clicking on Press at the bottom of the www.barterthing.com home page.
