WILMINGTON, DEL. — Converse Inc., the athletic-shoe maker which filed for bankruptcy in January, has been granted permission to pay key employees $1.9 million if they remain in their jobs until the company is sold.
According to reports, the North Reading, Mass.-based Converse, which last week agreed to be acquired by Footwear Acquisition, LLC for $117.5 million, plans to give 66 key workers each a quarter of their annual salary, effective no later than May 1.
